Relay for Life Special Events

Here at Nicholson, we are raising money for Relay for Life next week, and you might ask, “How can I help?” Easy…your student can participate in three different fun activities for a minimum of 50 cents. Of course we will always take more than the minimum donation!! The class that raises the most money per student will get to play the teachers in a Kickball game on Friday! What a fun way to raise money and blow off some CRCT steam!!

Dear Parents,

We have done an EXCELLENT job taking the CRCT this week. We have received sooooo many compliments from teachers throughout the school:)

Due to testing, we haven't had time to do our weekly newspaper. The newspaper is about a moon buggy race and goes right along with our science curriculum. You can download the regular or advanced edition if you'd like to do this at home:

Welcome Back!

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. It was great to hear all the kids' stories!

The CRCT begins next Monday and lasts throughout the week. We will have lunch at our regular time, but our Specials time will be different.

Vega Challenge!

It’s that time again! Vega Challenge is here! We want every 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th grade student practicing for the CRCT to familiarize themselves with the type of questions, as well as review material that will be on the test to build confidence for doing the best job possible. An explanation of the Vega Challenge went home with every student today, explaining the program. Not only do the students get the needed practice, but they also get rewards! When your student logs on, the “pop-up blocker” will need to be disabled or turned off, so they can log on successfully. The user and password are included in the packet. The student needs to click on the link that says, “View teacher assigned tests.”  If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Good luck! Click on OAS to begin.

*For the math portion, I highly encourage you to have scratch paper so your child can show their work!
