MATH:We are working on numbers and place value from 1 to 100, skip counting, greater than, less than, equal to.
Math Standards Addressed:
M1N1a Represent numbers up to 100 using a variety of models, diagrams and number sentences. Represent numbers larger than 10 in terms of tens and ones using manipulatives and pictures.
M1N1c Compare sets using terms greater than, less than, and equal to.
M1N1d Understand the magnitude and order of numbers up to 100 by making ordered sequences and representing them on a number line.
M1N3a Identify one more than, one less than, 10 more than, and 10 less than a given number
M1N3b Skip count by 2's, 5's, 10's forward and backwards; to and from numbers up to 100
READING: We will be reading in Guided Reading Groups. Please remember to let your child read the guided reading book to you to practice fluency. Students will learn how to read and understand non-fiction text.
PHONICS: We will identify, differentiate, and sort pictures for the word families an, un, in.
WRITING: We continue to write to inform the reader through Informational Writing and Non-Fiction features.
SCIENCE: Light and shadows will be our focus for Science.
