Weekly Curriculum Overview
This week we will have a different theme each day. We will have Sports Day, Bubble Day, Beach Day, Picnic Day, and Bug Day. Each day we will work on different literacy and math activities focused on the theme for the day.

Weekly Curriculum Overview
Phonics/Reading- This week we will continue to review vowel sounds and work on the following skills: compound words, connecting story events, characterization, character traits, story recall, and sequence of events.
Math- We will continue to work on extension activities for addition and subtraction.
Writing- We will complete our summative assessment for point of view/opinion and response to literature.

Summer Bridge Book
This is a WONDERFUL book for your child to keep their skills fresh during the summer break. It is only ONE page per day. This is the book that I will be recommending to each of you at our end of the year conference. PLEASE take advantage of this price ($12.00). It is more expensive in the stores. Order forms and money are due on May 5th.
Music Performance
Tuesday, May 5th, the first grade will have their music performance at 7:00pm. Please make sure and send your child's permission slip so they will be able to perform.
