Dear Nicholson Families,
We have entered into the home stretch of our 2017-18 school year. I have been reflecting on all the accomplishments and goals that have been met this year. I am so proud of our Stars for all their hard work and you, our parents, for your dedication that you have given your children to help them reach for the stars this year. We are truly a family, and as such, we will take time to celebrate together and then look forward to another shining year with 2018-19 - it’s coming up on the horizon!
As we wrap up Milestones testing, this time of year becomes a flurry of activity with Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation week, our musical theater performances, and of course the 5th grade activities! It becomes a very busy time for the next few weeks, and we anticipate seeing a lot of you coming to join in the festivities. Please remember to sign in with the front office each and every time you arrive and put on our visitor sticker. We appreciate your help in keeping our students safe!
It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to our 5th graders but I know they have been prepared and will do well in middle school. We see the anticipation building for their adventure in middle school! We will miss all of our Stars over the summer, but I hope that your vacation will be filled with great times and special memories and we will be waiting for all of you to return on Aug. 1st.
With Kids in Mind,
Joan L. Johnson
