We want to welcome our new student, Braxton, to our class. Curriculum Updates: Math: We are continuing to work on numbers 0-30, comparing quantities with more, less, and equal to, and we will begin studying two and three dimensional shapes. Language Arts: We are continuing to add new sight words to our word wall every week. As of now, we have 29 words on our word wall. And, a, are, am, as, big, can, do, for, go, green, I, it, is, in, into, like, my, make, me, no, one, see, she, the, take, we, went, and with. Please practice these words at home with your child. In Words Their Way each week we are sorting letters or word families. This week we are sorting words and pictures into the word families -op, -og, and -ot. In writing, we are working on adding details to our writing and writing about what we know. You will be amazed to see their journals and how far they have come! Science: for the last two weeks, we studied motion and now we are learning about gravity. Social studies: we will be learning about Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Our Halloween party was so much fun! I want to give a special thank you to Jody Ray for organizing it and for all of the parents who volunteered and helped make everything run so smoothly. The students had a blast!
