A Word from Mrs. Davenport and Mrs. DeCormier:
Can you believe that we only have 13 more days of school remaining??? Your children have worked very hard this year! We are soooo proud of them!!! In April, we learned about Spring, living/nonliving things, and plants. This month, we will end our year studying the ocean and summer fun activities. We want all of our darlings to work hard for the last few weeks so we are ready for First Grade!
Skills to Practice:
v Read, Read, Read…(work on blending sounds together to make words).
v Ask your child questions, as you read to them or they read to you, so your child is comprehending what he/she is reading.
v Keep practicing sight words.
Reminders:
v Bring in snack every day!!
v Send in 3 stamps for the end of the year report cards.
v May 6th is Nurse Appreciation Day. We are asking every student to bring in a band aid and put their name on it. (in the wrapper)
v May 6th – 8th is the Book Fair
v May 8th – ALL Library books are due.
v May 14th – Field Day
v May 22nd – Last Day of School (Please No lunchboxes or bookbags)
Important Notice:
On Friday, May 14th, it is Field Day!! Be sure to apply sunscreen to your child BEFORE he/she leaves the house for school (we are not allowed to apply it at school.) If your child wants to bring sunglasses he/she is more than welcome to bring them in.
